StompGrid is a pedalboard planner. You can design boards without an account; an account lets you save them. This page explains what we keep about you, why, and how to change or delete it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name and email address. If you sign up with email, we store a secure hash of your password, never the password itself.
- Profile photo: a photo you upload, or the one from your Facebook profile if you sign in with Facebook. We keep a small copy (256 × 256 pixels).
- Location: your city, region and country. We work it out from your internet connection (IP address) when you sign in, or take it from your Facebook profile if you allow that. It is approximate and city-level only; we never record your exact position. You can change or remove it at any time in your account settings, and if you remove it we stop detecting it.
- Boards and pedals: the boards you save and the pedals you design or submit to the catalog.
- Sign-in sessions: for each signed-in device we keep a session record with its IP address and browser type, used to keep your account secure. Sessions expire after 30 days without use.
If you use StompGrid without an account, your board is kept only in your own browser (local storage) and never sent to us unless you choose to save it.
Why we use it
- To create and run your account, save your boards and show them back to you.
- To send emails you need: confirming your address and resetting your password. We don't send marketing email.
- To keep accounts safe, for example by limiting repeated sign-in attempts and detecting abuse.
- To tailor regional details, such as local power standards and gear, as we add them.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep you signed in. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies, and we don't track you across other sites.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the services that run StompGrid for us:
- our hosting and database providers, which store the app and your account;
- Resend, which delivers our emails;
- Meta, if you choose to sign in with Facebook (they tell us your name, email, profile photo and, if you allow it, your city).
How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account exists. Expired sign-in sessions are removed automatically. When you delete your account, your profile, photo, location, sessions and saved boards are deleted from our live systems straight away. Pedals you designed that were already published in the public catalog stay available, without your name.
Your choices and rights
- See and change your name, photo and location in your account settings.
- Remove your location, or switch automatic detection back on.
- Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct it, by emailing raul@luckyduck.mx.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and its data yourself:
- Sign in and open Account from the menu under your photo.
- Under Delete account, choose Delete my account and confirm.
This applies whether you signed up with email or with Facebook. If you can't sign in, email raul@luckyduck.mx from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you. Removing StompGrid from your Facebook settings also stops Facebook sharing data with us.
Children
StompGrid isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.
Changes and contact
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and its date, and tell you by email when the change matters. Questions: raul@luckyduck.mx.
